It’s with great excitement, and humility, that Aspire Indiana Health prepares to begin services in November as the newly designated Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) for Hancock and Shelby Counties.
Although we’ve been working in these communities for less than three months, progress has been steady and partnerships are forming quickly. In that time, we’ve met with local leaders, community partners and health systems to ensure a smooth transition of care. We’ve focused on readiness, coordination and continuity for those who rely on these vital services.

| Aspire has developed formal partnerships with Major Health Partners and Hancock Regional Hospital, and we are collaborating with county governments, courts and law enforcement to coordinate court commitment services and crisis response. |
|
We’ve also been active in local chambers of commerce, school systems and community networks, listening carefully and learning about each county’s unique needs. Our outreach team has been present at community events and systems of care meetings as we work to earn trust and build lasting relationships.

We know many of you are already interacting with different representatives of Aspire as we build these relationships. Should you encounter a question or find yourself uncertain about a certain issue, our Chief Operating Officer, Jody Horstman, is the best person to reach out to. She can address your concerns or loop in the best person to do so.

| We are actively coordinating with the previous CMHC agency on patient transitions and plan to assume operations, albeit temporarily, at their current Shelbyville clinic space before November 10th. We are also finalizing arrangements for a Hancock County location to support accessible service delivery. |
|
Recruitment for new clinical and support staff is well underway, and Aspire is leveraging our experienced professionals across our six-county network to ensure service quality during this launch period.

 |
| Aspire will officially begin core CMHC services in Shelby County on November 10th, with Hancock County to follow shortly thereafter. Our goal is to ensure that all identified priority patients are seen within the first month of service. We have begun hiring staff to expand services to other key populations, including: |
 |
- Youth and families engaged with schools and DCS
- Adults in need of home- and community-based services
- Individuals seeking substance use disorder treatment and recovery support
- Those experiencing a behavioral health or substance use crisis
|
| We are also exploring transportation solutions to help ensure that residents, no matter where they live, can access services. |

Working closely with our hospital partners, we are in the process of transitioning ER Crisis Assessments to Aspire to be able to provide easy access during any behavioral health or substance use crisis.
On Oct. 22 Aspire opened the Rely Center in Noblesville, an urgent psychiatric care and crisis stabilization facility designed for anyone experiencing a mental health or substance use emergency.
This service is also available to residents of Hancock and Shelby Counties, providing rapid access to professional help while reducing pressure on hospital emergency departments and law enforcement. Our leadership team has already met with some local first responders and public safety officials to coordinate response and referral processes.
|
The Rely Center is located at: 17840 Cumberland Road in Noblesville. Our hours of operation will initially be 12-8 p.m. Monday-Friday, expanding to round-the-clock service early in the new year. Should these services be needed, please call (855) 765-7359.
